when to sign up for SS retirement benefits
QUOTE FROM US govt website.
"If you live to the average life expectancy for
someone your age, you will receive about the
same amount in lifetime benefits no matter
whether you choose to start receiving benefits
at age 62, full retirement age, age 70 or any
age in between."
the unfactored is the mandatory healthcare AND the FREEDOM involved.... also not factored in this analysis is that you can STILL WORK. smart people work just up to the limit... that MAXIMIZES the benefits.
for instance. you say insurance would cost $600 mo now. but $100 mo on SS...that's $500 diference. to earn $500 net you have to earn $600..... so take that right off the top...
say you get $1000 ss retirement ( based on earnings of $35,000 yr. ) = $1250 before taxes + $600= same as $1850 taxable income. and you still don't have insurance.... you can still work and earn over $15,000 without losing a cent of SS. so $1850x12= $22,200+ $15,000 = $37,000.... working PART TIME and with insurance.... and none of the hassles like income tax etc.
BIG NOTE: at age 66 and after, you can make all you want with no SS deductions.
Social Security delivers a broad range of...
SSA.GOV
SS will adjust your benefits accordingly.
there is no downside to signing IN to SS as soon as possible.
If you've been led to believe that waiting...
